Seahawks react to end of the lockout
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Feels good to be employed again!!!!
Roy Lewis, cornerback: "It has been a long time coming, and I think the guys are excited and more than ready and willing. It's like keeping a child away from his toys. At some point, you're going to start getting real antsy."
Back to work but we still smell like a vacation.
Isaiah Stanback, wide receiver: "I'm just ready to get going. I'm glad we got something done that works out for both sides. As players, we're just ready to get back to work."
I've been waiting for this moment for months. Patience is truly a talent!
Tyler Polumbus, offensive line: "I am excited to get back to work. That was a long road for the fans, players, and owners but it is all over and we are ready to get back to what we know best."
Just landed in the new hometown. Can't wait to get it started!
Jordan Babineaux, safety: "It feels good to have that sense of relief, you know? Knowing that both sides are in agreement with the new (collective bargaining agreement). Today was basically, the day that I think America was waiting on, that joint press conference with both sides, DeMaurice Smith and (commissioner) Roger Goodell, just basically validating the deal with a handshake. I think that was something that we've all been waiting to see and waiting to hear that we can get back to work."
finally got to speak to my position coach!
Deon Butler, wide receiver: "I'm just really glad to get back to football, get back in the classroom and be around the competitive atmosphere with the coaches."
Craig Terrill, defensive tackle: "More than anything, I'm glad the lockout didn't affect the season and do anything to permanently damage our amazing fan base. I, like everybody else, am just ready for some football." (Cue Hank Williams Jr.)
