Robert Saleh expected to be hired as quality-control coach
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Robert Saleh is expected to be added to the Seahawks staff as a quality-control coach. Saleh comes to Seattle after he was on the Houston Texans' defensive coaching staff under Gary Kubiak.
Saleh was the assistant linebackers coach in 2010, and he was fired as part of wholesale changes on the defensive staff. Defensive coordinator Frank Bush, secondary coach David Gibbs and linebackers coach Johnny Holland were also let go by Houston this offseason.
In Seattle, Saleh will fill the quality-control position held by Rocky Seto last season. Seto was promoted to assistant-secondary coach in the offseason.
The Seahawks coaching staff is rounding into shape with Saleh at quality control, and Carl Smith still expected to be hired as quarterbacks coach.
