Report: CB Josh Pinkard to active roster

Posted by Danny O'Neil

The Seahawks activated Josh Pinkard, according to the wonderfully independent Mac's Football Blog.

Pinkard is a cornerback who signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent. He played for Pete Carroll at USC, but suffered a knee injury late in 2009. He began the season on the physically unable to perform list, which means he had to sit out the first six weeks. Then, he could begin practicing, and the team would have a three-week window to decide whether to add him to the 53-man roster or place him on injured reserve.

Also, Seattle released quarterback Zac Robinson and tackle Breno Giacomini, who were both signed to the active roster on Saturday in time for Sunday's game. Robinson's move is a sign Seattle expects Matt Hasselbeck to be ready to play this week.
