Russell Okung suffers high ankle sprain
Posted by Danny O'Neil
• Rookie left tackle Russell Okung suffered a high ankle sprain to his left ankle, the same type of injury he suffered to his right ankle in August.
"It's not nearly like the other one," coach Pete Carroll said of Okung's injury. "We don't know what that means yet."
Carroll, however, did not rule Okung out for this week's game.
"We'll just wait and see," he said. "I think it will be a challenge for him to get back, but we've got to wait."
That was Carroll's approach after Okung's right ankle was injured on Aug. 20, saying the team would take it day by day, week by week. Okung missed the final two exhibition games and the first three regular-season games recovering.
• Wide receiver Brandon Stokley suffered an injury to his oblique that knocked him out of the game. His status for this week is uncertain.
• Cornerback Kelly Jennings and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane could return to practice this week after they did not play last week. Carroll said the hope is the pair can resume practicing on Thursday. Jennings missed last week's game with a strained hamstring, Mebane has sat out the past two games with a strained calf muscle.
• Fullback Michael Robinson's status will be a question after he left Sunday's game because of a hamstring injury. Robinson hopes to be ready to play. If he's not, Chris Henry is the backup fullback.
