Quick notes from Pete Carroll's Wednesday press conference
Posted by Danny O'Neil
• Sean Locklear is expected to practice Wednesday after he was held out last week because of a sore knee. Seattle had hoped to rest Locklear in St. Louis in Week 4, but he entered the game after Russell Okung left in the second quarter. Locklear is expected to remain the starter at right tackle with Tyler Polumbus backing up both right and left tackle positions.
• Marcus Trufant is expected to be fine to practice. He did not practice the week leading up to the St. Louis game because of a sprained ankle, but started in the game.
• Rookie Dexter Davis is the only Seahawk who is expected to be held out of Wednesday's workout because of injury. He is recovering from a strained hamstring.
• Deon Butler becomes the starting flanker after the trade of Deion Branch to New England. Ben Obomanu will also get more playing time at flanker with the trade. Coach Pete Carroll said Seattle would not have felt comfortable trading Branch had it not been for the acquisition of Brandon Stokley.
