Deion Branch-to-Patriots talk heats up. Again.
Posted by Danny O'Neil
This won't be the first time Deion Branch has been discussed as a potential trade target of the New England Patriots.
But with the trade of Randy Moss, the Patriots' continuing affection for Branch and Seattle's current situation at wide receiver and its desire to recoup some of the draft ammunition it has traded away, there is a certain amount of logic in the deal.
There were indications on Wednesday that a Branch-to-the-Patriots deal was in the making, but it's premature to characterize it as imminent. It's something to keep monitoring throughout the day.
Two reports from New England indicated that this is something that is a discussion more than a negotiation, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, who has been told it's too soon to say it's in the works.
