Confirmed: Chester Pitts rejoining the Seahawks

Chester Pitts indicated via his Twitter account that he is rejoining the Seahawks less than one week after Seattle released him.
Coach Pete Carroll indicated at the time of Pitts' release the hope was Pitts would return. He is recovering from microfracture surgery on his knee, and when he was not going to be ready to play in Sunday's game at St. Louis, the Seahawks found themselves strapped for a roster spot, needing someone ready to play guard should starters Ben Hamilton or Stacy Andrews be injured.
Mike Gibson was added to the roster in Pitts' place.
The Seahawks had not announced Pitts' re-signing with the team or the corresponding roster move that would occur to make room for him.
Pitts' return has been confirmed. He is re-signing with the Seahawks. No word on who will be cut to make room for him.
