T.J. Houshmandzadeh: 'If it happens, it happens.'
Posted by Danny O'Neil
T.J. Houshmandzadeh did not play. He was in the locker room after the game, though.
Q: Does this trip you out at all?
Houshmandzadeh: Does what trip me out?
Q: Trade rumors.
Houshmandzadeh: I could care less. It doesn't bother me. I knew before y'all knew. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
Q: It wouldn't be a shock to you then?
Houshmandzadeh: I don't care. I can't control it. It's kind of out of my control. Like I said, I'm ready for whatever so if it happens - wherever I go - I'm going to make it happen, and if it don't happen, I'll be here, and I'll make it happen. That's how I look at it.
Q: Have they talked to you about their plans for you this season?
Houshmandzadeh: Yeah.
Q: Are you OK with that? (Actually I asked, 'Are you cool with that?' but that looks so dorky in written out. Probably almost as dorky as when I said it.)
Houshmandzadeh: I'm cool with it, but that was a while ago. Things change every day as we see ... We'll see what happens.
Q: Are you nervous?
Houshmandzadeh: No. I mean, there's a little uneasiness because I've got a wife and the kids that are planning to come to Seattle so now that's not going to happen because I don't know what's going to happen. There's a little uneasiness because you don't know what's going to happen. It's just like anything, anybody wants to feel wanted. So if I'm not here, they don't want me here, whoever I'm going to wants me. So that's how you've got to look at it.
I'm ready to play.
