Charlie Whitehurst moving closer to Seattle

Charlie Whitehurst appears to be on the brink of joining the Seahawks.
Whitehurst has told the Chargers he plans to sign his one-year tender, according to ESPN's John Clayton. That would be a precursor to any trade, which is necessary for Seattle to acquire him. The Seahawks do not have a third-round pick, therefore can not sign him to an offer sheet. A separate agreement on compensation for Whitehurst would have to be agreed upon.
