Report: Omar Khan to interview for Seahawks GM job
He is the third confirmed interview for the Seahawks following Marc Ross (Giants director of college scouting). Khan's father is from India and his mother is from Central America. In speaking to John Wooten, chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, on Friday, he confirmed that Ross was a minority candidate the Seahawks would look at for the job, and said there was another. He would not divulge the identity of that second candidate, however.
Here's an excerpt from a story on Khan from after the Super Bowl victory last year:
"Khan is the dealmaker. With Tomlin's task complete and a record sixth Super Bowl trophy in hand for Pittsburgh, it will be Khan working with player agents and judging how much can be spent on keeping talent or adding new players."
-- AFP, Feb. 2, 2009
Note: As first pointed out by snydro22, there was an error in the original version of this story. Omar Khan's last name was misspelled. My apologies for that. I strive to be accurate, and when I fall short in that regard it's important to have alert readers there to show us where improvement is necessary.

This clarification did spawn my favorite Reader Comment of the day (at least so far):
"Sorry Danny, you and snydro22 are both wrong. His name is Robert Paulson."
