Walter Jones left practice early
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Left tackle Walter Jones left practice after participating in an 11-on-11 drill. He took one knee and as the team went to the next phase of practice, walked off with the trainer.
"I didn't get a specific report," coach Jim Mora said. "They said they were taking Walt in. He wasn't feeling right."
Jones returned to practice on Thursday after missing 12 days because of back spasms. Jones was working with the first-unit offensive line before leaving for the locker room with Ray Willis at right tackle and Sean Locklear at right guard. Locklear moved to left tackle after Jones' departure.
"Walt wasn't scheduled to go the whole practice anyhow," Mora said. "That wasn't a major deal."
