Seahawks host long-snapper Kevin Houser for a visit
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Kevin Houser, a long-snapper released by the New Orleans Saints earlier this offseason, is visiting the Seahawks on Wednesday Thursday. His agent confirmed Houser's in town. He'll be undergoing a physical examination and a tryout with the hope of signing with Seattle.
Long-snapper has been a position where the Seahawks have churned through players since J.P. Darche suffered a season-ending injury in 2006. Seattle turned to veteran Jeff Robinson to finish each of the past two seasons.
Tyler Schmitt, whom the team drafted in 2008, missed last year after undergoing back surgery and was released over the offseason. The team currently has veteran Bryan Pittman on the roster as a long-snapper.
The other long-snapper on the roster, Ryan Senser, was released July 2.
