Friday minicamp conclusion
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Injury reports: CB Marcus Trufant sat out with tightness in his hamstring, WR Courtney Taylor injured his groin and WR Nate Burleson also has tightness in his hamstring, which was why he was held out of practices this week. S C.J. Wallace suffered a sprained foot last week, which is why he didn't practice. DT Cory Redding practiced on Wednesday, but was not participating on Thursday and Friday. RB Devin Moore -- an undrafted free agent from Wyoming -- wasn't practicing on Friday after suffering some sort of injury on Thursday morning.
"I want us to start camp healthy," Mora said of the injury absences. "We're going to err on the side of caution."
Defensive end Patrick Kerney and left tackle Walter Jones are rehabbing from surgeries. Kerney had his shoulder repaired and loose chips removed from his elbow, and Jones underwent surgery on his knee back in December.
Mora said both are expected to be ready when training camp begins on July 31.
"Right now, we expect every player to be ready to go at the start of training camp and we're on schedule for that," Mora said.
