C David Washington to sign with Seattle
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Update at 2:51 p.m.: There is an agreement, and once the final paperwork is done C David Washington will be added to the roster. He's expected in town this weekend.
Oklahoma State center David Washington said the Seattle Seahawks offered him a contract, according to a sports Web site in Oklahoma. In an interview with GurthrieSportsPage.com, Washington said his agent had told him the Seahawks want to sign him. You can listen to the interview right here.
Washington was an undrafted player the Seahawks brought in for a tryout during the team's three-day rookie minicamp at the end of April. Seattle had 78 players under contract when that camp began. The Seahawks signed fullback David Kirtman after the rookie minicamp concluded, and Washington would make 80 players signed to Seattle's roster.
