In the news:
Arizona is starting over this season under coach Bruce Arians, who took over when Ken Whisenhunt was fired following a 5-11 record in 2012. Arizona is 3-3 but has been competitive in all but one game, a 31-7 loss at New Orleans. Among the Cardinals’ wins is a 22-6 victory over a Carolina team that took the Seahawks to the wire in Week 1.
The Cardinals have been salty against the run (fifth best in the NFL at just 90.7 yards per game) but have struggled to mount a consistent offense despite the addition of veteran quarterback Carson Palmer. Arizona has played four of its first six games on the road but now plays three in a row at home (Seattle, Atlanta, Houston) and four of the next five, so if it is to make a legitimate playoff push this season, it has to start now.
