The Seahawks took a look at former first-round pick Braylon Edwards during a workout Thursday but added a different veteran to the roster at the end of the day.

Seattle signed Antonio Bryant, who had 1,248 yards receiving with Tampa Bay in 2008 but hasn't played the past two years. Bryant, 31, tried out for the Seahawks during the three-day minicamp in June and was admittedly playing himself back into football shape.

Bryant was drafted by Dallas in the second round, played in San Francisco, Cleveland and Tampa Bay before he was signed as a free agent by Cincinnati in 2010. He was released before playing in any games with the Bengals because of a knee injury and hasn't played in the NFL since.
