The NFL announced the official draft order, and as expected, the Seahawks have six picks spread over seven rounds.

Seattle holds its own pick in each of the first four rounds, the first being No. 12 overall. The Seahawks lost a coin flip with Kansas City in February to determine who would get that selection. Seattle has the 11th pick of the second round (No. 43 overall), 12th pick in the third round (No. 75 overall) and 11th pick of the fourth round (No. 106 overall).

The Seahawks' fifth-round choice — No. 147 overall — belongs to Buffalo, completing the 2010 trade for Marshawn Lynch. The Seahawks have their sixth-round choice, No. 181 overall. Seattle traded its seventh-round choice to Detroit for offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus in a 2010 deal, but the Seahawks do have a seventh-round pick thanks to their trade with Oakland for linebacker Aaron Curry. Seattle has the Raiders' seventh-rounder, No. 225.

The Seahawks were not awarded any of the 32 compensatory picks the league hands out annually because Seattle did not suffer a net loss in free agency last year.

Seattle has chosen more than six players in all but one of the previous 14 drafts. The Seahawks came away from the 2006 draft with six players. That was the year Seattle was missing its first-round pick by virtue of its trade with New England to acquire Deion Branch.

The draft begins with the first round Thursday, April 26. The second and third rounds will take place Friday, and the final four rounds Saturday.
