What Seahawks players are saying
Seahawks players talk about their new coach, Pete Carroll.
Linebacker Lofa Tatupu, who played for Carroll for three years at USC: "I'm excited. I got my first ring there at USC, and like I said, I'm hoping we can get a couple more up here. The big-time, NFL. College is fun and all."
Defensive end Lawrence Jackson, who played for Carroll four years at USC: "Guys want to win, period. Paul Allen should be looked at as one of the greatest intellectuals in terms of what he has accomplished on a conceptual level and how he has formulated his ideas. He's one of the richest owners in the league. If this man believes in coach Carroll, I'd be a fool to not believe in him."
Safety Lawyer Milloy on Carroll, whom he played for three seasons with the Patriots: "He has probably self-evaluated himself from the years that he had at New York and New England, and he wants to right his wrongs. I know he took his time and really feels like this is the time where he needs to go ahead and take this challenge on again."
Cornerback Josh Wilson: "Right now, the players take on it is, 'Hey, we're trying to win.' Whatever this organization thinks is the best thing to do to get it back on the winning ways, I'm with it. No matter what has to go on, as long as we can get back to the playoffs, that's what we're trying to do."
