Player of the game

Justin Forsett gained 68 of his game-high 130 yards in the fourth quarter and proved both elusive and effective. Forsett has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the two NFL games in which he's had double-digit carries.

Play of the game

St. Louis faced fourth-and-4 at the Seattle 34 with less than 2 minutes left in the second quarter and the score tied 7-7. St. Louis went for it, quarterback Kyle Boller looking to Donnie Avery, who was well-covered by Kelly Jennings. Jennings attempted to knock the ball down, instead he tipped it up and Josh Wilson grabbed it for the interception and returned it 65 yards for a touchdown.

Injury

Defensive tackle Cory Redding suffered a concussion.

He said what?

Seattle coach Jim Mora: "It wasn't always pretty, but we accomplished our object, which was to go on the road and get a win. Nobody is going to call it beautiful expect for the ones that are in that locker room and got a win on the road."

Sipping Hater-Ade?

Linebacker Aaron Curry said he's got plenty of respect for Rams running back Steven Jackson, it's just his memory lacking when it comes to the earful he's gotten from Jackson this year. "Half the stuff he says to me I can't remember," Curry said. "I just don't think he likes me. It guess it's like a battle for respect and being a rookie I just don't see myself backing down. The first time I played him, he verbally assaulted me."

The Hasselcat

Matt Hasselbeck turned a third-quarter running play into an afternoon at the improv, when he didn't hand the ball to Justin Forsett and instead ran left on a naked bootleg. He gained 19 yards before stepping out of bounds. "There's some gray area in this offense," Hasselbeck joked. "[Greg Knapp] had told me once that on that play, Mike Vick used to just keep the ball. That was my moment right there. My Mike Vick moment. I got 15 yards downfield and I didn't know what else to do."
