Matt Hasselbeck will miss exhibition game
Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck missed practice Friday with a tight back, and will not play in the exhibition game Monday at San Diego.

RENTON — Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck likely will not play in Monday's exhibition game at San Diego after he missed practice Friday because of a tight back.
Third-string quarterback Charlie Frye will start the game, coach Mike Holmgren said. Backup Seneca Wallace, who has been limited by a tight groin, will be available to play some, but Frye will play most of the game.
Hasselbeck's back tightened up during the team's first exhibition game at Minnesota. He sat out practice for a few days, then returned before the team's second exhibition game against Chicago, but he did not play. He has not practiced since Tuesday, when he walked off the field during morning practice after his back tightened up again.
The diagnosis?
"He has a tight back," Holmgren said. "Some of you are young; you haven't gotten there yet. You get a little tight back or you wake up funny or you tweak it or whatever ... and then you just have to let it calm down a little bit. He's much better today."
