That "Loan the Podium" plan working for Canada

WHISTLER -- A couple of Canadian ski writers in the press center at Whistler Creekside just packed up and were on their way to dinner or someplace, while three of us Americans plink away about Bode Miller.

Says one of them on the way out:

"You guys shouldn't have to write so long. It's a lot easier when you don't win anything."

(In spite of huge advantages in training on the course, Canada's top finisher, Erik Guay, was fifth.)
