Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is expressing condolences to families of those killed in the Connecticut school shooting.

She said in a statement, quote, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted by this senseless tragedy, especially the families and loved ones of those killed or injured."

Napolitano pledged "any support necessary" for local, state and other federal investigators working on the case.
