Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney raised $24 million during the last three months of 2011, bringing in more cash than his fellow GOP contenders by far.
The fundraising haul leaves Romney with nearly $20 million cash-on-hand, allowing the former Massachusetts governor to press on his national campaign to seek the GOP nomination.
Federal Election Commission filings released late Tuesday show Romney raised about $56.7 million in all of 2011.
