Democratic Party chairman Tim Kaine predicts Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will survive his challenge in Nevada from Republican Sharron Angle.
Kaine tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he "was very heartened" by what he witnessed in the Reid campaign while visiting there over the past few days.
The former Virginia governor called it "a ground game at this point." He commented Friday morning following a feisty television debate between Reid and Angle, who is backed by the tea party. Kaine said, "It 's a strong ground game Sen. Reid has put together. I think we're going to win that race."
Early voting is set to begin over the weekend, and polls in Nevada show an extremely tight contest.
