Play of the Day: Fight Song for Clinton
Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was wrapping up a visit to a political science class at the University of Virginia Monday when she received an unexpected send-off: a spontaneous chorus of the school's fight song.
More than 1,000 students attended the hourlong talk with the former first lady hosted by Larry Sabato, a political science professor and well-known pundit. Virginia holds its primary Tuesday.
When the talk concluded, a choir warbled a serenade. Then, the students stood, linked arms and swayed from side to side, singing "The Good Old Song," a school classic set to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.
Clinton smiled, clapped and looked a bit surprised when the crowd raised their fists and erupted in the university fight chant.
"Wahoowa! Wahoowa! Uni-V, Vir-gin-ia! Hoo-rah-ray, Hoo-rah-ray ray! Ray! U-V-A!" they shouted.
