SEATTLE TIMES ARCHIVE

Donna Larkins, a counselor at the Salvation Army music camp at Lake Boren, held a trumpet as she led six youngsters in practice. The children were from left, front, Sharon Bozman, Barbara Kennedy, Leora, Douglas Waddell, Terry Hoogstad, and Douglas Peacock. The boys and girls practiced singing and playing instruments.
