Vicky and Robert Smithson walk along the beach at Golden Gardens Park as they sweep the sand with their metal detectors. The Smithsons have been coming to the park for about 8 years to look for items buried in the ground. Robert once found a 19th century beret with pearls, while Vicky once found a 12-year-old O'Dea High School class ring which they were able to return to the owner. Most often they find lots of Swiss army knives and wine bottles.
