Why does the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side of 45th at the University District StreetFair. Bill Jarcho, astride Salt 'N' Pepper, usually seen at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, is promoting the Farmers Market in the University District. The 45th annual street fair continues Sunday with buskers, bands, food, arts and crafts and plenty of people "celebrating peace, culture and community" says their brochure and map.

Hinda Kipnis with Seattle's Raging Grannies promoted "global peace, justice, and social and economic equality by raising public awareness through the medium of song and humor at the University District StreetFair Saturday.
