A brand new South Park Bridge to open this summer

ALAN BERNER / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Touch up work is being done on the underside of the entirely new South Park Bridge. The bridge is expected to be fully functioning and open to the public this summer. No specific date is set for the re-opening of the structure vital to the South Park community.

Work continues on a tower on the South Park Bridge. There's one at either end. Some of the final tasks include installing 142 miles of electrical wiring.
