A solid Sound city built on sand

GREG GILBERT / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Sand artist Brent Terry, of Mukilteo, works to complete a sand sculpture of the downtown Seattle skyline at the Seattle Boat Show at the CenturyLink Field Event Center. The sculpture is 26 feet long and 12 feet tall. Some 50 tons of sand were delivered last week before the show started. Terry, Brian Turnbough and Ted Siebert have all worked on the sculpture. The annual boat show ends Saturday.
