A Nutty Nutcracker

KEN LAMBERT / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Dancer Brittany Reid, playing the part of a doll, came onstage dressed in a Seattle Seahawks top during a Christmas Eve tradition, where the Pacific Northwest Ballet turns a classic on its head at McCaw Hall by performing the "Nutty Nutcracker" version of Stowell and Sendak's "The Nutcracker," for one performance only, Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013. PNB's nutty version always happens on Christmas Eve. It's the 30th anniversary season of the company's "Nutcracker" and tickets are still available for the non-goof version.
