Sweat your prayers

Dancers participate in "Sweat Your Prayers Seattle," a moving meditation, in the Oddfellows Building on Capitol Hill. "Instead of going somewhere to pray silently, we pray on the dance floor with our own bodies," said teacher Christine Havens. "Thoughts and feelings have room to move through and be expressed in your dance and not take up residency in your body." Classes feature a variety of world music, and they are held every Sunday except for Nov. 24.
