Mother Serianna Bock introduces her son Soren Bock, 10 months, to a horse at the Seattle Police Department mounted patrol open house at their stables at Westcrest Park in West Seattle Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. A couple hundred people attended the event where officers demonstrated a variety of crowd control maneuvers including troop drills and simulations with firecrackers and flares. The Seattle Police Department also provided hot dogs, chips and beverages free-of-charge. "He loves dogs, cats and this was his first time around horses," said Bock, about her son.
