Artists roll out designs at annual poster smackdown

ALAN BERNER / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Artists ink a 3-foot by 4-foot linoleum sheet Saturday that will have paper placed atop it and be rolled over with a two-ton construction vehicle at the 12th annual Wayzgoose & Steamroller Smackdown at the School of Visual Concepts parking lot in Seattle. Sixteen teams of artists, design firms and museums used the parking lot to print oversized posters, which will be available for purchase. The artists in top photo are from Portland's Keegan Meegan letterpress printers and design.
