High-school kickoff cut short

DEAN RUTZ / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Threatening skies weren't enough to keep O'Dea and Gig Harbor from playing the first half of the season opener for both teams Thursday in West Seattle. The second half would be a little more problematic as the game was suspended due to lightning in the area. O'Dea led at the half, 35-7.
