ALAN BERNER / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Phinneas is one laid-back parrot. Chris Van Inga's 19-year-old Congo African Grey parrot has been taught many sounds and tricks, including assuming a restful position, as they hang out at Pike Place Market on Wednesday. Phinneas has learned to make cat and barking-dog sounds and play dead. Van Inga says the parrot could live 40 more years.
