Michael Moore, Seattle Opera's scenic studios manager, is deep into work as he checks out the interior of a dragon built by Seattle Opera for "Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic" opening April 27 at the EMP Museum. Moore said it took 800 hours of teamwork to make the dragon for its lair in the EMP. The head is about 6 feet long, and the entire piece (claw, tail, wing, head) weighs 240 pounds. The exhibit examines fantasy in literature, video games, film and television. The EMP will have a naming contest for the dragon.
