This bear doesn't want to be moved

ALAN BERNER / THE SEATTLE TIMES

Josh Schulze, a taxidermy student at Roger's Taxidermy in Lakewood, Pierce County, helps move a polar bear from the shop outside so its owner, Masanobu Imakura could photograph it. Imakura sells North American big game and says the bear was legally shot in Alaska four decades ago. Now, only Alaska Natives (Indians, Aleuts and Eskimos) are allowed to hunt polar bears in the Alaskan Arctic.

Erik Bergren catches up on the news at Roger's Taxidermy as a black bear with brown coloration is in stages of preparation on a table at the shop in Lakewood.
