Worlds biggest snowball fight

BETTINA HANSEN / THE SEATTLE TIMES

About 6,000 people participated Saturday in Seattle Snow Day, marking a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for largest snowball fight. It was held at Seattle Center outside the EMP Museum. Organizers trucked in 162,000 pounds of snow from the mountains and sold more than 6,000 tickets for the event to dethrone the Republic of Korea, which set the record of 5,387 snow-throwers in 2010.
