Members of various Occupy groups set up a free bookshare called 'The Peoples' Library of Seattle' outside the Douglass-Truth Library in the Central District. The area outside the library is stocked with free books, water, food, children's activities and computers with internet access to help bridge the gap of the library's weeklong furlough. Starting Monday August 27th, all Seattle Public Libraries closed temporarily due to budget cuts, and will re-open Tuesday Sept. 4th after the Labor Day holiday. Organizers are accepting donations at the Library, which is located at Yesler Way and 23rd Avenue - more information can be found at http://duetobudgetcuts.wordpress.com.
