Henry Hemp inhaled and exhaled at Hempfest Saturday saying he has a medical marijuana card and is an advocate for legalization. He wears a homemade foam leaf on his head and acknowledges a passerby who shouted out to the man in green. Magic J. Ellingson is his real name and and Los Angeles is his home town.

Zane Kesey of Eugene, Oregon emerges from the famous Merry Prankster bus that belonged to his late father, Ken Kesey. On the front of the bus the destination is "Further". The Kesey bus at Hempfest is a 1947 International. It was Ken Kesey's 2nd bus. The first "Further" died an early death and is in storage on the Kesey farm in Oregon.

Huge numbers of Hempfesters wait for a train to pass along the waterfront so they can get to the gate of the 21st annual festival. An estimate from the festival was that about 100,000 would attend Saturday's happenings. It continues Sunday. For more photos, visit the gallery.
