Celebrating African heritage at the Umoja Fest parade

Vivian Winston rides in the annual Umoja Fest parade in her dad Sam's 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible as it heads south on 23rd Avenue to Judkins Park Saturday. The parade and park events celebrate African American heritage. With a cloudless sky, Saturday was expected to be the hottest day of the year with a high of 86-degrees. The festival continues Sunday.
