Refining rope skills for the rodeo

Arturo Ruiz knows his dance steps and lariat moves as he hones his roping skills after work near Sunnyside, Wash. Ruiz is preparing for upcoming rodeos in calf roping. Rodeos taking place in the next few weeks include Grandview, August 10-11; Bremerton, August 23-26; Ellensburg, August 31-Sept 3; and the Pendleton (Ore.) Round-Up, Sept. 12-15.
