Ballard Plumbing put their hands together before their game against the Supergraphics team from Northwest Little League during the Little League Tournament of Champions at Gilman Field in Seattle Saturday, June 16, 2012.
As spring turns to summer, Ballard Little League holds its annual Tournament of Champions, a three-day single-elimination tournament of eight teams at Gilman Field in Seattle. Competing on Saturday afternoon were teams from Ballard, Northwest, RUG (Roosevelt, University, Greenlake), and North King County Little Leagues, before the 12-year olds move up and the best players get drafted to all-star teams. Trophies were distributed and the day culminated with a pie-eating contest.
