President Obama shakes the prosthetic hand of Army Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Arthur Petry, from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, who received the Medal of Honor at the White House on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in Washington. Petry lost his right hand when he tossed a live grenade during a 2008 firefight in Afghanistan, sparing the lives of his fellow Army Rangers.
