A man points to the globe as he checks out the air traffic with day/night terminator at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Yellow lights on the globe show where a commercial plane is currently airborne, and each yellow tail represents one plane. On an average day there are 28,537 commercial flights. The globe turn allowing visitors to see the continents and oceans at day or night, and visualize just how much air traffic there is at different at any given time of day.
