Opening day of lowland lakes fishing

Yvonne Osborne from Woodinville shows off four of the eventual five fish caught at Cottage Lake in Woodinville Saturday morning. Hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians descend on lowland lakes including Cottage Lake Park in Woodinville early Saturday morning to kick off one of the state's largest outdoor events. These anglers try their luck at this trout-stocked lake planted with 12,037 rainbow trout on April 15th with an average size of 10 to 12 inches. The fish came from the Arlington Hatchery. Cottage Lake is 63 acres.
