Dave Niehaus, Mariner longtime broadcaster and Hall of Famer, continues to be at the game in the form of a right field statue. He died Nov. 10, 2010 having done team play-by-play from the inaugural season in 1977. In 2008, the National Baseball Hall of Fame awarded Niehaus with the Ford C. Frick Award, the highest honor for American baseball broadcasters.
