The Seattle Open croquet tournament

Mallets in hand, players compete in teams of two at the Puget Sound Croquet Club's facility in Kirkland, home to the Seattle Open tournament. The club's motto is "this ain't grandma's grass" meaning the court is smooth, flat and fast. Sunday's play features singles competition beginning at 8:30 a.m. with finals at 1p.m. It's free with information at pugetsoundcroquet.com
