Rapids midfielder Brian Mullan upended Seattle midfielder Steve Zakuani in the first half. Mullan was given a red card for the dangerous sliding tackle. The red card meant an immediate expulsion from the game and Zakuani left the field on a stretcher. The Colorado Rapids hosted the Seattle Sounders Friday night, April 22, 2011.
